Privacy
Short version: your game progress stays in your browser. We count anonymous page visits, with no tracking cookies and nothing that identifies you.
What we store
Phrasey has no accounts, no server database, no ads and no cookies. The game data it keeps is saved in your own browser's local storage, so the game remembers your progress:

This game data never leaves your device. We can't see it, and nobody else can either.
Visit statistics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count how many people visit and which pages they open. It doesn't use tracking cookies. For each page view it records the time, the page address, the site that linked you here, your approximate location (country, region and city), and your browser, operating system and device type. Visits are counted with a temporary identifier made from the request, which Vercel discards after 24 hours, so the data isn't tied to your IP address and we can't recognise you across days. Your guesses, scores and stats are never sent. See Vercel's analytics privacy notice.
Deleting your data
Clear this site's data in your browser settings. That resets your stats and streak.
Hosting
Phrasey is served as static files by a hosting provider, which may keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for security and reliability, under its own privacy policy.
Children
Phrasey is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If Phrasey ever adds ads, accounts or other data collection, this page will be updated before that happens.
